GIANTS SHUTOUT IN SEASON FINALE 13-0
Oshkosh North graduate Josh Uhen handcuffed Oshkosh Giants’ hitters in his first start for the Sheboygan A’s, leading the A’s to a seven-inning 13-0 win at E.J. Schneider Field on Thursday night. Uhen struck out nine over six innings, walking four and allowing just four hits in the combined shutout. “He was pretty relentless on the mound,” Giants coach Brad Demmin said. The game marked the end of the season for the Giants who finished off a less than stellar season.
GIANTS DROP GAME TO GREEN BAY STORM 16-5
The Oshkosh Giants had the tying run at the plate in the eighth inning, but failed to score and then couldn’t stop the Green Bay Storm in the ninth.
GIANTS DROP BOTH GAMES OF DOUBLEHEADER TO KENOSHA
The Oshkosh Giants dropped a doubleheader on the road to Kenosha, falling 6-3 in Game 1 and then 6-2 in Game 2.
Oshkosh West graduate Eric Stenson pitched his first game for the Giants in Game 1 and was rolling until Kenosha’s 6-run sixth inning.

The Oshkosh Giants road a seven-run sixth inning to defeat the Manitowoc Bandits 8-4 at E.J. Schneider Field in Oshkosh on Tuesday night.
Oshkosh West graduate Eric Stenson came up with a two-run single in the big sixth inning in just his second appearance with the Giants after playing with the Oshkosh Legion team. Giants pitcher Troy Mrkvicka went the distance striking out four, walking six, while allowing seven hits and two earned runs.
GIANTS DROP ROAD GAME TO MENASHA
The Oshkosh Giants squandered plenty of run-scoring chances in a 7-1 loss on the road against the Menasha Macs Monday Night, leaving a total of 11 runners on base. “You aren’t going to win many games doing that,” Giants coach Brad Demmin said. “We had plenty of opportunities.”
GIANTS SPLIT DOUBLEHEADER WITH APPLETON LEGENDS
The Oshkosh Giants split a doubleheader on the road against the Appleton Legends Saturday afternoon, with the Giants losing 4-3 in the first game then coming back to topple the Legends 4-0 in the second game.
GIANTS DEFEAT DE PERE RIVER BANDITS IN 11
Travis DeRocha tied the game in the bottom of the ninth with a solo home run and then scored the winning run in the 11th inning as the Oshkosh Giants knocked off the De Pere River Bandits, 6-5, on Tuesday night.
Brad Demmin smacked a bases-loaded single in the 11th to plate DeRocha with the winning run. DeRocha had reached on an error to start the rally.

GIANTS ARE SWEPT BY EAU CLAIRE
The Eau Claire Cavaliers swept the Oshkosh Giants in a pair of 7-inning games at E.J. Schneider Field on Saturday.
Runs were hard to come by for the Giants as Eau Claire won the first contest 6-1, then took the second 7-0.
Doug Beattie went 2-for-3 with a double in the Giants first game against the Cavaliers. In all, Oshkosh managed just eight hits in two games.
OSHKOSH GETS POUNDED 15-2 BY GREEN BAY STORM
The Oshkosh Giants managed just single runs in the third and fifth innings and lost to the Green Bay Storm, 15-2, in a Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League game at E.J. Schneider Field on Tuesday.
Tyler Kamps drove in the first run for the Giants with a single in the third, while Matt Wells had an RBI-single in the fifth.
Kamps, Wells, Doug Beattie and Derek Layton each had two hits in the game for Oshkosh.

The Oshkosh Giants had 3 of 4 games this past weekend rained out. The lone game that was played resulted in a loss 9-5 to the Crystal Lake Cardinals.

Oshkosh Giants pitcher Aaron Dressnandt had a no-hitter into the fourth inning before Sheboygan’s bats woke up, putting a five spot on the board in the fourth and cruising to a 9-3 win at E.J. Schneider Field.
Tyler Kamps led the Giants at the plate going 3-for-4 with an RBI.
GIANTS LOSE TO APPLETON 8-1
A couple of Appleton Legends with Oshkosh ties made the Oshkosh Giants pay Wednesday night. Former Oshkosh North standout Bryan Clark went 3-for-5 at the plate with an RBI, while former University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titan Drew Eichstaedt went 2-for-4 with a walk, helping the Legends to an 8-1 Northeastern Baseball League victory at E.J. Schneider Field. Of course, the Giants seemed to do everything they could to help them out, committing five errors while failing to string together quality at-bat.
GIANTS DROP PAIR TO KENOSHA KINGS
Wisconsin State League leader Kenosha swept a doubleheader from the Oshkosh Giants at E.J. Schneider Field on Sunday afternoon. The Kings, who improved to 9-1 in the WSL, won the first game 4-0, while taking the second, 5-3. Troy Mrkvicka fanned three and allowed just five hits in the opener for Oshkosh (7-8 overall, 3-8 in the WSL), but walked six in the loss. GAINTS BEGIN SEASON ON ROAD, DROPPING 2 OF 3 GAMES TO LOMBARD
The Oshkosh Giants traveled to Chicago to take on the Lombard Orioles. The Giants dropped 2 of 3 games, with one game being washed out.
The Giants were shutout by scores of 1-0 and 4-0. They returned the favor by blanking the Orioles 2-0.

The Oshkosh Giants recently annouced its team award winners for the 2009 season.
Most Valuable Player: Mickey Fadness
Most Valuable Pitcher: Brandon Lenz
Rookie of the Year: Travis Helland
David B. Tyriver Award: Drew Eichstaedt
All four players currently play for the UW-Oshkosh baseball team.
The Giants finished in third place for the second year in a row in the Wisconsin State League. The team was 20-13 overall and 17-11 in the WSL.
